Our friends at @jerseyshoreanimalcenter stepped up on short notice to help us provide safety to some of the many cats we rescued during August`s hoarding situation... and now they need help finding a home for another very special kitty. Sasha is a diabetic 15-year-old gal, who is more-than-ready to go to a special home -- and she has been patiently waiting for 9 months at their shelter! The JSAC has taken good care of her, and gotten her diabetes under control, and are looking for a foster or 501(c)(3) rescue that can welcome this senior into a real home and get her ready for her forever adoption! If you or someone you know can help Sasha on the next steps of her journey, read more about her below from JSAC and reach out to them:

Sasha is a beautiful 15 year-old kitty who has been with us since March, after coming from an overcrowded shelter in Newark. Shortly after her arrival, we discovered she was diabetic, and it`s been a journey to get her diabetes under control. But we’re thrilled to say that Sasha is now looking and feeling better as you can see in her latest photos!
Managing her diabetes in the shelter has been tough, and we know Sasha would be much happier in a real home where she can truly thrive. She loves to be carried around. She`s a calm, sweet, gentle girl who is happiest as the only pet and deserves a loving family to care for her.
Sasha is currently on 3 units of Prozinc twice a day and a special diet of D/M dry and canned food. We are open to fosters or 501(c)(3) rescues who can provide her the attention and care she needs. Let’s get this wonderful girl out of the shelter and into the cozy home she deserves!
