Sadie the smiling pooch was crashing quickly from a pyometra, a type of uterine infection that can only be addressed with a spay surgery. Her dad Timothy immediately sought help but encountered frustrating difficulties: “The night of her emergency, we took Sadie to the veterinarian hospital, and they told us what surgery we needed. After they told us the price, the doctor left us in the room to think about either paying for the surgery or putting her down. We mentioned People For Animals to the doctor and she said that your organization will not perform the procedure. We left with Sadie after that. I decided not to listen to that doctor, called your organization, and the representative told me to bring Sadie in ASAP for emergency surgery. Sadie was weak, with low responsive energy, heavy breathing, and looked like she was suffering the night before we brought her to PFA.”

We’re honored that Timothy trusted the guidance of our medical team and we treated his pup without a moment to waste. Timothy tells us: “If it wasn’t for you people working and helping us, Sadie would not be here today, and I would not be able to extend my deepest appreciation for all this organization does. Sadie is a happy, joyful girl again, she’s back to being our sweet girl, and playing with her partner in crime!” (aka her brother Tazz)
